Civil War Talk at Bruton Parish Nov. 19

A noted historian will present a program entitled "The Mystery of America's Civil War" in the final program of the Bruton Parish 300th Anniversary Educational Series. Dr. Edward L. Ayers, retired University of Richmond president and historian, will speak in the Parish House on Thursday, Nov. 19. He is also known as co-host of the popular public radio program "BackStory" with the American History Guys. The program, which is open to the public, will be held in Lewis Hall in the Bruton Parish House on Duke of Gloucester Street. The program begins at 7:30 pm, with a reception preceding at 7 pm. Parking will be permitted on Duke of Gloucester Street for the event. Bruton Parish is celebrating the 300th anniversary of its present church building on Duke of Gloucester Street in Williamsburg.
