Coastie Visits Kensington School

"Coastie" the safety boat recently paid a special visit to the Kensington School. Members of the Williamsburg Flotilla of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary brought Coastie to meet with a total of 120 preschool students in several classes to share a message about boating and water safety. Coastie is a fully animated robot; he moves, speaks, listens, and activates his lights and horns all by remote control. He can wink, blink and move his eyes and will help teach valuable water safety concepts to children. If you know of a youth group interested in meeting Coastie and learning about water safety, please email the Williamsburg Flotilla at fc@flotilla67.us
