Colonial Capital Kiwanis hears about college admissions

The Kiwanis Club of Colonial Capital recently heard a program about college admissions from Gary Ripple who has been an Admissions Officer at four different colleges, including William and Mary. He is also the author of "Do it Write: How to Prepare a Great College Application". Mr. Ripple said that while a few highly rated colleges are very selective, most colleges are now actively recruiting good students and it is beneficial for students to apply to a number of colleges before selecting one. He also discussed the criteria that Admissions Officers use in accepting students. Pictured above are Ripple and Club President Pete Webster.
