Colonial Capital Kiwanis learns about importance of reading in education

Dr. Robyn Moore, Coordinator of Elementary and Middle School Literacy for WJCC schools, recently spoke to the Kiwanis Club of Colonial Capital about the need for good education in reading skills. She emphasized that being able to read effectively has a profound effect on the success of people in later life and also pointed out that getting children to read aloud to adults and each other enhances their reading ability. Pictured above are Club President Larry Shoberg, Dr. Felicia Highland, Coordinator of Community Outreach for WJCC Schools, Dr. Moore and Cub member Bob Taylor.
