Colonial Capital Kiwanis learns about National Alliance on Mental Illness

Corey Trench, Treasurer of the Williamsburg Affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, spoke to the Kiwanis Club of Colonial Capital recently and acquainted the members with the concept that mental illness touches one in every five families. It afflicts millions of people who continue to be medically under-served, scientifically under-researched and widely misunderstood. NAMI has the mission to provide support, advocacy and education in order to improve the quality of life of individuals with mental illnesses and their families.
