Each year the Kiwanis Club of Colonial Capital collects money from passers by at a variety of businesses in the Williamsburg area to fund the distribution of Christmas toys and clothing for children of needy families in the community. Kiwanians with their canisters and familiar yellow caps will be accepting donations from the customers at locations around the county beginning November 15. In past few years the program has helped over 200 families and more than 300 children each year and the club hopes to do even better this year. The club counts on the generosity of the citizens who want to contribute to make this a successful program. Pictured above are many of the Kiwanians who will be involved in the collections this year.
