WILLIAMSBURG, VA - Comber Physical Therapy & Fusion Chiropractic CEO Erika Stephan is please to announce two additions to our Fusion Chiropractic staff. Dr. Maurice Tucker, joins Fusion as the new lead chiropractor and Dr. Matthew Budavich recently came on board as a staff chiropractor.
Dr. Tucker comes to Virginia from Memphis, TN where he owned his own practice for almost 10 years. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Memphis and graduated from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, TX in 2007. He also earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Anatomy and Health and Wellness while at Parker.
He specializes in extremity and joint mobilization, headaches, TMJ disorders, and is certified in the Diversified, Thompson and Activator Techniques.
Dr. Tucker is very active in the community and organized spinal screenings for community members as well as preparing and delivering health talks on campuses, churches and schools. He also served as the official chiropractor for the Memphis Redbirds, the St. Louis Cardinals AAA
baseball affiliate from 2011-2013.
Dr. Budavich is a 2009 graduate from the University of Pittsburgh where he received his
degree in Pre-alternative medicine and Interdisciplinary Studies in 2009. Dr. Budavich earned his Doctorate from the National Health Sciences University in Illinois in 2016.
He became interested in chiropractic care at an early age after getting into an accident. He has traveled to Africe, volunteered with a Christian ministry, and became certified as a Certified Exercise Specialist and Performance Enhancement Specialist while working on his doctorate.
One of his proudest moments so far was when he completed over 1,000 hours as an intern at Scott Air Force Base where he treated many difficult cases. He engaged in special assignments to increase the program goals and customer needs. He also resolved most technical and clinical issues while coordinating work flow, new patient exams and re-evaluations.
His skills include knowledge in pain management, chronic pain, Cox flexion-distraction
technique, chiropractic manipulation, joint mobilization, and headaches.
