Community charities benefit from Williamsburg Rotary Foundation

During a recent meeting of the Rotary Club of Williamsburg, representatives from 10 of our local charitable organizations were recognized for their services to our community. Club members prepared and requested financial grants from the club's foundation for their favorite organizations. This year the distributions ranged from $500 to $1,500 to support benefits for children's mentoring and medical support, youth baseball, senior citizens, disability services, literacy training, and hospice support. From left to right are Pam McGregor from ARC of Greater Williamsburg, Audrey Smith - Hospice House, Marie Bond - Sentara, William Massey - PAA Rides Program, Debbie Beach - Literacy for Life, Tab Broyles - Colonial Williamsburg, Kim Dellinger - Bacon Street and Grover Lewis - First Night were each honored for their organization's service. Not shown are representatives that received grants from the Williamsburg Youth Baseball League and Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
