Dames Celebrate History of Tea Customs and Clothing

The Rev. James Blair Chapter, Colonial Dames Seventeenth Century lineage society, celebrated the history of tea as speaker Virginia Lee presented the lecture topic: "Two Centuries of Afternoon Tea and How it Dictated Customs and Clothing". Mrs. Lee further explored the world of tea, bringing numerous samples of teapots, caddies, tea chests, tea cups and accessories for display. Beautiful dresses from fashion eras from 1790 to the 1920's complimented the talk including customs and manners of the day.
