Colonial Dames Welcome Jamestown Series Author

The Rev. James Blair Chapter of the Colonial Dames Seventeenth Century lineage society welcomed author Connie Lapallo and historical interpreter Rebecca Suerdieck to their May meeting at Ford's Colony Country Club. Ms. Lapallo spoke about her latest book in the series on women and children in early Jamestown, "The Sun is but a Morning Star". Ms. Serdieck portrayed Mary Burke, the minister's wife in 1621. The lineage society seeks to aid in the preservation of records and historic sites of our country and foster an interest in research and education in the colonial era.
