The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution now holds the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS (TM) title for "Most letters to military personnel collected in one month" with a total number of 100,904 cards and letters! Chapters from all over the US and Overseas Units contributed to writing and collecting the letters to be delivered to NSDAR at Continental Congress in June. The Williamsburg Chapter collected a grand total of 625 letters. Children from various local schools, scout troops and individual members wrote letters to soldiers stationed around the world and gave them to the Williamsburg Chapter to deliver to headquarters. It was a joint community effort that paid off and WE WON!
