DAR Regents Celebrate Williamsburg Chapter's 90th Birthday

Regent's from 4 NSDAR Chapter's joined in the celebration of the Williamsburg Chapter's 90th birthday. Started in April of 1927, Mrs. Littleberry Foster was the first Regent with founding members Mrs. Abbey Aldridge Rockefeller and Mrs. WAR Goodwin. In 1927 there were 33 members and today the count is 297. Helping to celebrate this time in history were: Jennifer Carver, Regent, Compte de Grasse Chapter (Yorktown); Cheryl Davis, Ph.D., Regent, Cobbs Hall Chapter; Susan Shackleford, Mind Run Chapter, Fredericksburg; Carol Beam, Regent, Commonwealth Chapter and the largest in Virginia, Richmond; Honorary Regent and State Corresponding Secretary Pamela Redd Meiring; and Virginia Snyder Lee, Regent, Williamsburg Chapter. Dr Davis presented Mrs. Lee with a Certificate of Commemoration for the sisterhood shared between the Williamsburg Chapter and Cobbs Hall Chapter.
