The opening of an exhibition of oil paintings by noted American artist David Buckley Good will take place at the Williamsburg Art Gallery, 440A W. Duke of Gloucester St. (Merchants Square) on Friday, November 20th at 6PM. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.

The following day, Saturday November 21st, David will present a live oil painting demonstration in the gallery at 1 PM which is also free and open to the public.

David Buckley Good is a realist painter whose subjects range from European and American architectural landscapes to still life and the figure. Born in Ohio, he is a graduate of Bowling Green State University and the Schuler School of Fine Arts. In 2001, he was invited by 'Les Amis de la Grande Vigne' to paint in the medieval city of Dinan, France as the city's artist in residence. David has twice been the subject of feature articles in 'American Artist Magazine.' His work has been exhibited in the Salon International (Greenhouse Gallery, San Antonio, Texas) as well as Oil Painters of America national and regional exhibitions. He received the Liquitex Award at the 1999 Oil Painters of America National Exhibition (Scottsdale, Arizona) He currently teaches painting and drawing at the Schuler School of Fine Arts and the Mitchell School of Fine Arts in Baltimore, Maryland.
