DONK'S TO PRESENT DOUBLE BILL ON SATURDAY, JULY 4TH - A MUSICAL TRIBUTE TO THE USA AND A SPECIAL TRIBUTE TO THE MUSIC OF JIMMY BUFFET
On Saturday, July 4th, 2015, Donk's Theater will present a double bill show - A Tribute to the United States of America in song and a second tribute to the music of Jimmy Buffet. "In these perilous times, every American needs a chance to listen to the songs that lift our country and our patriotic spirits in a family atmosphere where we can stand up and cheer" said a spokesperson from Donk's. Songs will include "America the Beautiful", "Made in America", "Are The Good Times Really Over for Good, and "40-hours Week", to name a few. Opry regulars will sing patroiotic songs during the first half of the show, followed by a tribute to Jimmy Buffett. Fans of Buffet, affectionately known as "Parrotheads", are many and include all age groups, as the career of this musical "giant" has spanned decades. The audience should be prepared to take a walk through "Marguarittaville" as they enjoy Buffet's music from every era. Young and old alike will enjoy this show which promises something for everyone.
Special guests will include Deanna Mullins on vocals and keyboards, David Shuber on vocals and bass, and Susan Ripley.
The Opry regulars will include Uncle Jimmy Wickham and the Shades of Country.
