Dr. King History Program

The First Baptist Church History Ministry will present a public program on Sunday, January 15, at 6:00 p.m., in remembrance of and to honor the birth date of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The one-hour program, "Let Freedom Ring for Civil & Human Rights, for Justice, and for Peace", will introduce three speakers: Ms. Johnette Weaver (Civil & Human Rights), Dr. John Whitley (Justice), and Rev. Juanita Graham (Peace), who will present Dr. King's views on their theme topics. The Program will also include the combined Hand Bell Choirs and Church Choirs from Bruton Parish Episcopal Church and First Baptist Church, under the direction of Reginald Fox, First Baptist Church Minister of Music, and Becky Daley, Bruton Parish Minister of Music.

The History Ministry is led by Opelene Davis, Chair. The Program is co-chaired by Betty Brown and Liz Montgomery. First Baptist Church is located at 727 Scotland Street, Dr. Reginald Davis, Pastor.
