On June 18th, Duane and Noreen Dobratz celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married in San Francisco at the Star of the Sea Church on June 18, 1955. They met at the Marines Memorial in San Francisco while Duane, an electronics instructor, was stationed at Naval Station Treasure Island during the Korean Conflict. After his Marine Corp Service, Duane worked for Hewlett Packard until his retirement. Noreen was a teacher for 26 years, had a career in real estate and is now pursuing her passion as a fiber artist. They have 2 daughters, Cindi and Renee, 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. They presently reside in Colonial Heritage in Williamsburg and, needless to say, their favorite song is "I Left My Heart in San Francisco".
