Earth Day - Dirt Day 2017 at Waller Mill Park

Come help Williamsburg Parks and Recreation celebrate our planet at this uniquely fun Earth Day - Dirt Day event at Waller Mill Park. There will be many activities for everyone to participate in.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
• Rotating stations with educational information on recycling, sustainability, clean energy and pollution.
• Water Exploration Program - hands on opportunity to explore the reservoir and discover what makes a healthy water source.
• Electro-fishing and other demonstrations by conservation organizations.
• Take a Tree - Free Tree Program with planting instructions and materials (while supplies last).

KIDS FREE ACTIVITIES
• Face painting
• Recycle craft project
• Fun earth friendly/recycled games
• Hands on bug and fish activities

RECYCLED ART CONTEST
Get creative and use materials that would be destined for the recycling bin or trash can to create a unique piece of art. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the event. Info under "Special Events" - Earth Day at: williamsburgva.gov/rec

• Used cell phones (Avalon Center)
• Old sneakers (Nike)
• Un-serviceable American flags for proper disposal (VFW)
