The Ewell Concert Series presents the Vienna based, famed Esterhazy Trio on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. in the Great Hall, Wren Building, College of William and Mary. A period-instrument ensemble, the Trio provides an authentic 18th century experience while also demonstrating the latest trends in historical performance. Repertoire features the baryton, a bowed string instrument that was in use in Europe in the 17th and 18th centuries.
This concert is co-sponsored by the Office of Student Affairs, the Reves Center, and German Studies.
The Trio will also present a Strings Master Class on Friday, April 8th, 10am-2pm, in Ewell Recital Hall. Free and open to the public.
