Fall Institute: 'Reaching, Teaching, and Making Disciples for Christ'

The yearly Tri-County Pastors' Council Fall Institute will take place Monday, Sept. 12, through Thursday, Sept. 15, at St. John Baptist Church, 1397 Penniman Rd. Dr. Thomas Shields Sr. is president of the Tri-County Pastors' Council; St. John Pastor Walter Hudson is dean of the Fall Institute. This year's theme is "Reaching, Teaching, and Making Disciples for Christ," with Scripture from Matthew 28:18-20. Class offerings include: "How do we Teach in the Church?", "How to Reach Youth/Young Adults," "How to be a Great Associate Minister," "Leadership Training for Leaders," "Ministry Through Technology," "Music Ministry in the 21st Century," "Evangelism in the 21st Century," and "The Language of Prayer in Worship." Classes will run 6-8:30 p.m. each day, and dinner will be served. Everyone is invited. For more information or to register, call the St. John church office at 229-0759.
