First Baptist Church Homecoming

The First Baptist Church (Williamsburg) will celebrate its annual Homecoming/Family & Friends Day on Sunday, August 27, 2017. Rev. H. Horatio Wallace, Associate Pastor, Zion Shiloh Baptist Church, Brooklyn, NY, will deliver the message for Worship Service, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Wallace, a native of Williamsburg, began his ministry at Parklane Baptist Church in Baltimore, MD, where he served as Minister of Music, and subsequently Youth Minister. He returned to Williamsburg in 1995 to pastor Rising Sun Baptist Church in Lackey, VA until 1998. Rev. Wallace transitioned to Pleasant Grove Full Gospel Church, Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, and New Frontier Baptist Church, all in Brooklyn, prior to his current post at Zion Shiloh.

"Back To The Beginning", the theme for the annual celebration, brings home all of the participants in the morning worship service to once again share their time and talents with First Baptist. The Altar Guild Ministry and Women's Auxiliary Ministry (Homecoming Planning Committee) welcome all past and present members and friends of First Baptist, from near and far,to come worship together, break bread together, greet and rekindle old friendships and fond memories.
