First Baptist Church in Williamsburg, VA welcomes Minister Lucille "Lucy" Arrington

Sister Lucille "Lucy" Arrington preached her initial sermon on Sunday October 29, 2017 at the historic First Baptist Church of Williamsburg. She was surrounded by family members that traveled from Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Washington D.C. in addition to her brothers and sisters in Christ that she has come to know since she started to attend First Baptist Church. Her sermon, guided by the Holy Spirit, touched upon three main points which were: God will call you to your assignment in Hi-Story, your assignment in Hi-Story will require you to move, and your assignment in Hi-Story comes with benefits. Following her initial sermon, Lucy's father Elder James L. Franklin, expressed his admiration for his daughter's accomplishments, especially those related to the ministry. Sister Lucy Arrington officially became Minister Lucille "Lucy" Arrington when the First Baptist church pastor, Rev. Dr. Reginald F. Davis, presented her with her license. Minister Lucy Arrington will continue to use her talents to advance the mission of First Baptist Church which is to be Unified in knowing Him, making Him known, and making disciples. God has truly anointed Minister Lucy to use her talents within the ministry and beyond.

"Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying "whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, here am I. Send me!""-Isaiah 6:8

Minister Lucy Arrington's initial sermon will be available for viewing on the First Baptist Church website.
