Five-year-old collects money to help other children dance

Five-year-old Lila Rose of Williamsburg chose to collect broken crayons and money in lieu of presents at her August birthday party because she wanted "other children to be able to dance." The Rose family delivered the crayons and money to the Woman's Club of Williamsburg-GFWC. The Club will send the crayons to The Crayon Initiative, which repurposes them for hospitals, and add the money to the Club scholarship fund. Pictured from left are the Club's Conservation Chairwoman, Nancy Schusheim, and Maisie, Sadie, Lila and Andrew Rose.
