Williamsburg, VA. (March 13, 2017)-Soil Horizons, LLC is pleased to announce that Angela Whitehead is now credentialed as a Certified Agriculture Nutrient Management Planner, a program administered by the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR).
Certified Nutrient Management Planners work to manage nutrients found in fertilizers, manure, biosolids and other sources so that they retain their efficiency without impairing the quality of Virginia's ground and surface waters
Mrs. Whitehead is also certified as a Certified Urban Nutrient Management Planner. She was recently awarded a $25,000 grant contract through DCR to assist Virginia golf course operators with the development of nutrient management plans. The implementation of a nutrient management plan protects local waters and the Chesapeake Bay.
