On July 4, 2017, the Williamsburg Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution celebrated the 241st anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Berkeley Plantation, the family home of Benjamin Harrison V, a signer of the Declaration, was the location for the ceremony and wreath laying. In attendance were members of the Williamsburg Chapter DAR, Williamsburg Sons of the American Revolution, Children of the American Revolution, Richard Stroud, Bugler, and Mr. Jamie Jamison, owner of Berkeley Plantation. DAR member Cynthia Gunther, portrayed Mrs. Elizabeth Harrison in "Life After Signing the Declaration of Independence".
