From His Hands Packed Bags of Lunch Items For School Age Children

This summer, 35 children for 11 weeks received grocery bags of food from From His Hands, an ecumenical organization that helps feed the hungry and homeless at three local motels.

The "Lunch Bunch" --30 volunteers from various churches--met every week at Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church and packed grocery bags of "motel friendly" food, fresh fruits, snacks and vegetables for school age children--from elementary to high school--who reside in three area motels. The bags of food were delivered by the volunteers to the children residing in the motels. The bags contained food for three days of lunches and snacks.

From His Hands also serves a hot meal every Friday to three local motels where the homeless reside. It is a 100% volunteer organization that serves the hungry and homeless. If you would like more information regarding From His Hands please email FHHWilliamsburg@gmail.com.

This was the first year of The "Lunch Bunch" program. It was made possible by donations received from churches and individuals.
