Grant winners perform at Library

Past winners of Williamsburg Music Club grant awards presented a concert at the Williamsburg Regional Library on June 4. Shown, from left to right are: Caleb Song, Bryce Cuthriell, Kevin Hong, Tara Davy, Erin Morrow, Haley Griffith, Hamed Barbarji, and Diana Dunnavant.
The Club holds professionally judged auditions each year for area music students and makes cash awards to selected presenters. Awards given this past March totaled nearly $8000.
The June 4 concert featured award recipients from recent and past auditions. Kyle Hu, Caleb Song, Tara Davy, and Kevin Hong received awards this past March and attend local schools. Erin Morrow, Haley Griffith, Bryce Cuthriell and Hamed Barbarji are prior year's recipients and are studying music in college. Diana Dunnavant holds Bachelor and Masters degrees in musical performance and currently pursues a professional musical career.
The Music Club presents monthly programs on the third Wednesday of each month from September to May. All Music Club programs are free and open to the public and supported in part by the Willliamsburg Arts Commission and the Williamsburg Community Foundation.
