GREATER WILLIAMSBURG ASSOCIATION FOR VOLUNTEER ADMINISTRATION (G.W.A.V.A.)

Greater Williamsburg Association for Volunteer Administration (G.W.A.V.A.) members recently met at the Stryker Center. Williamsburg Regional Library Development Officer and Volunteer Coordinator, Benjamin Goldberg, hosted the meeting. During the meeting, members discussed how to address volunteer challenges, made announcements about upcoming events, and learned about the Stryker Center.

The purpose of G.W.A.V.A. is to provide administrators of volunteer services with opportunities to further a career in volunteer administration, improve skills, enhance professionalism, and to exchange ideas and information. Additionally G.W.A.V.A. broadens community awareness of volunteerism and encourages involvement of volunteers in community service organizations, agencies, and institutions.
