Gunpowder Plot Dedication

On Saturday August 15, officers of the Sons, Daughters and Children of the American Revolution dedicated a marker commemorating the Bermuda site where over 100 barrels of gunpowder were taken to waiting American vessels for use in the defense of Charleston, South Carolina 240 years ago. Present at the ceremony was His Excellency the Governor of Bermuda George Fergusson and his wife. Participating in the dedication ceremony were Emily Elston 2nd Vice President Virginia C.A.R., Edward Truslow 1st Vice President Virginia SAR, Holly Lynn Schmidt Sr. Virginia President C.A.R and J. Michael Tomme Secretary General National Society SAR.
