The Ewell Concert Series presents jazz pianist and harmonica virtuoso Harris Simon and ensemble on Sunday, October 23, 2016, 7:30 p.m. at the Williamsburg Library Theatre. "Mr. Simon presented an impeccable program of standards, playing them with brilliant harmonies, rhythmic looseness, swing and an ability to inspire the rhythm section" (Jazz Forum Magazine) Harris Simon has appeared at jazz festivals in New York, Montreal, Montreux, Edinburgh, Tokyo, Helsinki, and Stockholm, and has performed with well-known jazz greats including Sonny Fortune, Clifford Jordan, and Dexter Gordon. He won First Prize at the Kalisz International Jazz Piano Competition in Poland.
