Howell Creative Group Wins National Award for Newport News EDA Website

Williamsburg, VA. Howell Creative Group has won the American Graphic Design USA Award for excellence in website design. Their winning entry in GDUSA's nationwide competition was a website the Howell team created for the Newport News Economic Development Authority. The design includes visualized data to highlight key differentiators of the City with custom info-graphics. Google map technology was used to promote the community's unique business neighborhoods and provide real-time driving instructions to each. Also included is site-wide translation in nine languages to reinforce the City's diverse population and international business presence.

Both marketing agencies and corporate communications departments participate in the annual GDUSA competitions, and with more than 1,400 submissions, this was a record year for entries. Howell was one of only 200 winners. The awards honor the power of design to enhance online communications with web, interactive and UX design.
