James City Lions Club conducts peace poster contest

Candace Taylor, an 8th Grade student at the Lois S. Hornsby Middle School in Williamsburg, was recently selected as the James City Lions Club peace poster contest winner. Her artwork was based upon this year's contest theme, "The Future of Peace", and included images of the earth inside a peace sign, a dove, flags and a sunburst. Taylor's winning poster now advances to Lions District and, hopefully, Lions International rounds of the competition. James City Lions Club president, Phil Giles, presented Taylor with a Lions International Achievement Award certificate and a monetary award.
