James City Lions Club hosts "Cinco de Mayo" fund raiser
On Friday, May 5th, the James City Lions Club hosted a fund raising event at the Ford's Colony Country Club Pavilion. The very successful "Cinco de Mayo" celebration was attended by more than 115 Lions and friends. The country club staff provided exceptional tapas to go along with the beer, wine, and sodas. Raffle prizes included gift certificates from Williamsburg's finest restaurants, tickets to our best diversions (Busch Gardens, Colonial Williamsburg and Ripley's Believe It or Not) and dozens of other unique prizes. Net proceeds will support the Lions sight, hearing and diabetes programs in the Greater Williamsburg community. The JC Lions Club wishes to extend a sincere "thank you" to the many generous sponsors supporting this event. Lion Jack Trotter (pictured) headed the fifteen member fundraising committee.
