James City Lions learn about homelessness

Club members were briefed at a recent meeting by Carl Gerhold (left), who is vice president of the Greater Williamsburg Outreach Mission (GWOM) and Kris Magnusson (center), who is director of Grace Haven Family Shelter. GWOM's primary goal is to move people from homelessness to self-sufficiency. It consists of a coalition of 22 Williamsburg, James City and York County churches. The Grace Haven Family Shelter, a project of GWOM, provides emergency housing to families experiencing homelessness. Margene Hartsough (Club President) is also pictured.
