James City Lions Support United Way Day of Caring

Six Lions worked at D.J. Montague Elementary School pruning and trimming bushes, weeding and mulching gardens and painting the adjacent exterior walls and handrails throughout the school's courtyard. This is one more way beyond their core missions of sight, hearing and diabetes that Lions serve the community . Pictured in the front row (from left) are Lions Bill Pritchard and Dean Risseeuw, D.J. Montague principal Kathy Vazquez and Lions Steve Silvasy (project leader) and Don Butts. Lion Jack Reitz (not pictured) also assisted in the project. In the back row are some school students. The additional photo shows D.J. Montague students thanking the JC Lions.
