JC Lions receive briefing on pediatric cancer

Bryan Sellitti from Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters (CHKD) discussed childhood cancer status and issues at a recent club breakfast meeting. Pediatric cancer, which is a new initiative for Lions International, is both under researched and under funded. JC Lions are exploring how they can get involved in improving the outlook for pediatric cancer patients. This briefing was especially timely since September is "National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month".
