Kiwanis Club of Toano

Kiwanis Club of Toano recently learned about the declining oyster
population in the Chesapeake Bay. Stan Allen of the Virginia Institute
of Marine Science (VIMS) at William & Mary explained the on going
breeding program to compensate for over fishing and disease control.
Oysters were served to the Kiwanis members.

Pictured with Allen (center) are Traci Carlson, Kiwanis Club of Toano President
and Casey Duplantier, Kiwanis Program coordinator.
