Jim Spence recently spoke to the Kiwanis Club of Colonial Capital about sports broadcasting and he recounted many memorable moments from his tenure at ABC's Wide World of Sports. He mentioned many highlights from past Olympic broadcasts as well as issues that happened during the games like the terrorist attacks in Munich. He also highlighted the Monday Night Football broadcasts that began on ABC and is one of the longest running programs in television. Spence is currently a visiting scholar at William and Mary and teaches the class on Television Sports Today.
