Kiwanis learns about York County Children and Family Services

The Kiwanis Club of Colonial Capital recently heard a program about the Children and Family Services provided by York County presented by Sheri Newcomb who is the manager of the program. Ms. Newcomb spoke about the beginnings of the Head Start Program for pre-school children and how it has evolved over the last 20 years. Kiwanis members help with the program by reading to the children once a week and also providing books for them to take home. Pictured above are Club President Pete Webster, Newcomb, and club member Ron Hayden.
