The 5th Annual "Life Chain in Williamsburg
On Sunday October 1st from 2:00 to 3:00pm, St. Olaf will be the lead Church for the fifth Greater Williamsburg "Life Chain." The "Life Chain" held Nationally on Respect Life Sunday is a prayer chain and public (sidewalk) witness against abortion. This is not a protest but an event to be focused on prayer. In 2016 there were over 1,600 cities and towns doing the Life Chain. The chain will be on the sidewalk facing Richmond Rd. starting at Centerville Rd. Here with other Christian Faiths, we invite you to pray silently while holding signs attesting to the "Truth" that abortion is wrong and offends God.
"We need to pray and take those words of 2 Chronicles 7:14 seriously: 'If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.'"
The meaning of life is to love and serve our Lord. Let us show our love by spreading His Truth at this event.
