Linda Kinsman Retires After 36 Years with Williamsburg Association

Williamsburg - Linda Kinsman, Williamsburg, has retired as Chief Executive Officer of the Williamsburg Area Association of REALTORS® (WAAR) effective October 31. Ms. Kinsman has served in this position since 1981. During her time with WAAR, she oversaw computerization of the Multiple Listing System (MLS), established a real estate school, and brought a number of new technology innovations to both members and staff.

She earned the 2000 National Association of Realtors' (NAR) e-Pro certification, and served on the NAR Issues Subcommittee in 2000. At the state level, she served on numerous committees for the Virginia Association of Realtors, including most recently committees for Standard Forms, Awards Selection, Professional Development, Investment Management, Nominating, Risk Management, and Association Executives. She served on the VAR Board of Directors in 2015 and 2006.

The Williamsburg Area Association of REALTORS® is the Voice for Real Estate in America's Historic Triangle, and is part of the tri-level organization of the national, state and local associations of REALTORS®. Working on behalf of America's property owners, WAAR provides a facility for professional development, research and exchange of information among its members and to the public and government for the purpose of preserving the free enterprise system and the right to own, use, and transfer real property.
