Lions Club hosts music competition

The Williamsburg Host Lions Club hosted the Lions District 24-D Region I James Bland Music Scholarship Competition on March 10, 2017, at Williamsburg Landing. The winners from three Lions Clubs and the Zone A Bland Contests competed. There were four instrumentalists and three vocalists. Stefania Ilurdi, pianist, was awarded 1st Place and Judy Liu, pianist, was awarded 2nd Place in the instrumental category. Andrew Magruder, baritone/tenor, was awarded 1st Place and Joelle Miller, mezzo- soprano, was awarded 2nd Place in the vocalist category. The winners will advance to the Lions 24D District Bland Competition, which will be held on April 28th at the Chandler Recital Hall at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA.
