Lions Clubs conduct vision screening of Head Start students

On September 6th, the James City Lions Club initiated vision screening of Head Start students at Norge Elementary School. They used a SPOT Vision Screener, which is a handheld, portable device that detects focusing issues. Of the thirty-six students screened, ten were referred for further evaluation. One of the most common problems is Amblyopia also known as Lazy Eye.The James City and Williamsburg Host Lions Clubs share responsibilities for visions screenings in the school district.
