Lions conduct vision screening at Stonehouse Elementary School

James City Lions Club members participated in the Health and Wellness Fair at the school on March 7th. Pictured (l-r) are participating Lions Patti Ralabate, Johanna Theloosen, Linda Benner and Joyce Wilson. Forty-eight students were screened using a "Welch Allyn SPOT Vision Screener". Four were referred for further evaluation. The SPOT Vision Screener is a handheld, portable device that can detect focusing issues and provide an assessment of the following vision problems: nearsightedness, farsightedness, blurred vision, unequal refractive power, and eye misalignment.
