Colonial Heritage was host to 26 exchange students on Wednesday July 5th. These students from 16 different European countries were brought to our Clubhouse sponsored by the Williamsburg Host Lions Club under the guidance of Past President Jeffory Jacobs. The young women and men, ages 16 to 19, were treated to hamburgers. Certainly, a first for them was Line Dancing. Cheryl Shortell, resident Line Dance instructor, and her league of dancers stepped up to teach these impressionable youths many different kinds of line dancing. The students enjoyed themselves and were grateful for the opportunity to experience something foreign to them. Pictured above are the students in a group photo and line dancing with our citizens. Williamsburg Host Lions Club is involved in many charitable endeavors, Sight Conservation, Eye examinations for elementary students, White Cane Days, community clean up, assisting Alzheimer's funding raising event, and Lions of Virginia Foundation to name a few. Many Colonial Heritage community members belong to Williamsburg Host Lions. Interested individuals should call Dudley Orr, Secretary (757-229-6567).
