Marliss Melton is renowned for her novels featuring the heroes of Echo Platoon in SEAL Team Twelve, a fictional team based in Virginia Beach. With her donation, Melton, a W&M and ODU alumna, aims to improve the quality of life of the special operators who sacrifice their physical and emotional health while protecting American interests. LZ-Grace Warrior Retreat is a special place where SEALs can heal, de-stress, and find peace within themselves despite the violence they experience.
