Three outstanding Key Club members from community high schools received The Delaney Award from the Kiwanis Club of Williamsburg. From Jamestown High School, Sorenna Jean a freshman was recognized for her involvement both in and out of school. Walsingham Academy honored Maggie Kaufman who is a junior. She's been in Key Club since the 8th grade and has held the Secretary position for two years, and will serve as Vice President her senior year. Lafayette High School recognized Megan Roberts. She is currently serving as the Lt. Governor for Key Club and will graduate this year. Next year she will attend Yale University on a USAF ROTC Scholarship.
The Delaney Award is named after the Late Thomas F. Delaney, a long-standing member of the Kiwanis Club of Williamsburg devoted to the youth clubs they sponsor. The award is given to the student in William and Mary's CKI and Key Club to honor outstanding members who selflessly give of themselves in service and leadership. The faculty advisor from each school selects the recipient.
