Local Students Named to Bridgewater College Dean's List

BRIDGEWATER, Va., Jan. 10, 2018 - The Dean's List for the fall semester at Bridgewater College has been announced by Dr. Leona A. Sevick, provost and vice president for academic affairs.

Students on the Dean's List have attained a 3.4 or better grade point average of a possible 4.0. Any student who earned all A's for a perfect 4.0 grade point average for the 15-week semester is identified with an asterisk by his/her name.

Bridgewater College is a private, four-year liberal arts college located in the Central Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Founded in 1880, it was the state's first private, coeducational college. Today, Bridgewater College is home to more than 1,900 undergraduate students.

The following students from this area have excelled academically:

Laraya Billups, a first year student majoring in English, from Toano, Va.;
Jenna Hamra, a junior majoring in health and exercise science, from Williamsburg, Va.;
Christina Brooke Herbert*, a senior majoring in psychology, from Williamsburg, Va.;
Branisha Meekins*, a sophomore majoring in family and consumer sciences, from Williamsburg, Va.;
Payton Pasipanki, a senior majoring in business administration, from Williamsburg, Va.;
Becky Scoggin, a junior majoring in biology, from Williamsburg, Va.;
Dylan Shannon, a junior majoring in business administration, and Computer science, from Williamsburg, Va.; and
Alyson R. Wilkinson, a junior majoring in biology, from Williamsburg, Va.
