Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Norge participated in "Project Dignity" with Tree of Life International (TROLI). The project, headed up by the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, involved creating bags of reusable feminine hygiene items for girls in remote areas of Kenya who can't afford sanitary protection, an issue which contributes to school absenteeism and health problems. Cookie James, (pictured holding up a bag) representative of TROLI, spoke to the group about the project and will transport the items to Kenya later this fall.
