Lutheran Church presents check to Colonial Heritage Community Foundation

Our Saviour's Lutheran Church's pastor, James P. Nickols (r.), presents Melissa Rehm (l.), executive director of Colonial Heritage Community Foundation (CHCF), a check for $10,000 to support the foundation's Senior Champion Program, an adult day services program. The donation was raised from the church's fifth and final Oktoberfest, a fundraising event, held on Saturday, 14 October.
The foundation operates two free Senior Champion Programs for seniors with mild dementia or Alzheimer's disease: one at New Zion Baptist Church (Tuesday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.) and at Our Saviour's (Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.). The program includes memory activities, motion exercises, licensed musical therapist, pet therapy, Master Gardeners, various presentations, sing-alongs, poetry reading and more.
For more information about the Senior Champion Program or CHCF's other programs, contact Melissa Rehm (email or 443-735-5073).
