LYNDA SMITH AND 7TH STREET TO TAKE THE STAGE AT DONK’S ON AUGU5T 15TH

On Saturday, August 15th, 2015, Donk's Theater, Virginia's Li'l Ole Opry, will a fun-filled country show featuring the Shades of Country and the Opry regulars playing and singing old and new country. Then, after intermission Donk's presents a little something different as one of Donk's favorite entertainers, Lynda Smith, takes the stage with her new band "7th Street". This group offers a mix of older dance music, rock and roll and beach music, complete with a horn section and two wonderful lead singers. They often play at parties and dances around the area and they always keep the dance floor filled. The group includes some of the best musicians/singers in the Tidewater area, including Gerry Cooper on keyboards, Richard Eanes on bass guitar, Frankie Pitchford on guitar; Richard Smith on drums, Chris Ward on trumpet, Logan Beaver on Saxophone, and Chris Smalls and Lynda Smith on vocals. Songs include: Get Ready by Rare Earth, What Kind of Fool Do you Think I Am (Bill Deal and the Rhondels), Hold On, I'm Coming (Sam & Dave) , and A Pirate Looks at 40 (Jimmy Buffet) to name a few favorites. Hear them first at Donk's. It's great music and fun for the whole family.
